Dwarf Hunters

I have a Dwarf Hunter and he's male. Here's how I decided between them all. Note that it was before the expansion so Draenei weren't an option for me. I've included them in the following though:
1.) Had to be Alliance.
DwarfNight ElfTroll
2.) Model design had to be okay.
DwarfNight ElfDraenei ::: Torso is too big.
3.) No stupid shoot animations.
DwarfNight Elf
4.) Had to be male.

I then counted in a number of other things in the final selection:
- Racials
- Mounts
- Armor design
- Emotes
Dwarves get Stoneskin which makes them immune to bleed, disease and most importantly, poison. Nothing ruins a Rogue's day like a Dwarf who pops Stoneskin and removes Crippling Poison. Though Shadowmeld is a tough call, it still doesn't match up to a free Abolish Disease/Poison ability every few minutes. It wouldn't matter much though because of the remaining factors.
Nightsabers are nice, especially the black PvP version, Black War Tiger. But the Black War Ram looks mean too. It was an even match here for me.
Both races have distorted armor design because of the wide shoulders and long legs of the Night Elf and the short legs and square torso of the Dwarf. Even match again.
Here I found the end of the debate, because the male Dwarf emotes are so much cooler than the male Night Elf emotes that I couldn't roll a Night Elf with clear conscience after this point. Just hearing my Dwarf go or "Wooo when he /cheers is worth it all, not to mention the /silly emotes are awesome, unlike the male Night Elf jokes.
So for me it was a lot of things that made me choose the male Dwarf as my race choice. Had I not decided to weed out the females, I probably would've gone with a female Night Elf. But playing a female character is hard. My Warlock gets offers of marriage twice a day and whenever I'm in a group, they flirt with me and then kick me out when they find out I'm a guy.
If I had to choose between the male and female Dwarf it wouldn't be hard for me. I simply cannot stand the female laugh. It's so annoying. -We're the descendants, salute the descendants, of King Canute.

Mazrah - Troll ShamanHmm, well I don't see too many female Dwarfs on the server I'm on, but
it doesn't really matter all that much, just your own preference.
As for pets, well hehe the same again, I myself have a condor(carrion bird) on my
Dwarf Hunter, Uti holds very well, looks nice to boot.
Avatar have I none, therefore I am faceless.Posted this on the worldofwarcraft website forums as well want to see what feed-back i get here
I am about to make a hunter. I love the idea of using a bow and having a pet. I decided on dwarf because I think they are really cool. My problem is I can't decide between male or female. Obviously there is no difference in the abilities they have but you have to look at your character all the time. I was wondering does anyone know which there is more of male or female. I want to make the one that isn't as heavily populated. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In addition I was wondering which pet is the best for leveling. Most people say that its boars but I have heard some people prefer birds.
Thanks to everyone in advance!
